Rose Hall is a rich part of the history of Jamaica and for a long time has taken on a mythical undertone. Along with the Rose Hall great house, the area is also home to Hilton Resort, an extensive property, which from an aerial view, shapes like a ‘H’.

To get to the lobby, visitors will have to pass a scenic driveway, with palm trees and a well manicured lawn to complement the attractive golf course. Once they are at the entrance, there are multiple attendants, who are willing to assist, to ensure the check in is speedy.

When this is done, the excitement begins and for the average teen, the aim is to get to the Sugar Mill Falls Water Park.

The entire area is designed in a creative way with water tubes to go along with the lazy river and a 280-foot water slide. As the DJ blasts some energetic music, kareemsquest.com saw teens walking through the cascading waterfalls, and up the stairs, to get to the starting point of the water slide, which is housed inside a Sugar Mill. And, for those who are apprehensive, there are two slides with different lengths to match the courage level of each person.

Still much more to do

When that is done, it’s all about finding something to eat and with over seven eating spots, the favourite among many teens is the Moonstone Di Mare. It’s a pizzeria that’s located beside the Caribbean Sea, in a relaxing environment. An insider tip is to order your pizza in advance, as each one is baked to order.

For those who are impatient, there is always the option of grabbing some jerk food at the Sea Side restaurant. To add something different, the chef does a special each month, and one of the favourites was the Taco month.

After your food is digested, it’s to the beach to engage in the non-motorised sports like canoeing, while soaking up the rays from the sun. During this adventure, younger ones can head to the play area that has a mini slide and swing saws. If this doesn’t fancy them, there is also the option of staying in the Kidz Klub, an a/c’ed room that is filled with toys and games. On the outside is a fenced off play area that is covered with sand.

Once the evening is beginning to wind down and the evening is cool, kareemsquest.com thinks it’s the ideal time to play a game of tennis or basketball on the respective courts. What’s great is that the hotel provides the necessary equipment to ensure guests enjoy themselves.

Even with all of this, the fun doesn’t have to stop, as there is always something happening at the Teen Zone. Equipped with the latest gaming consoles and flatscreen TVs, it’s the perfect place for hardcore gamers to compete. There are also specialised seats, with extra padding for comfort and speakers in the headrest for an immersive experience.

When all this is done, it’s definitely time to share the memories with friends and this can be done by making use of the hotel’s free wifi.
