How My Quest Began
a few words about
My Journey
Being that we have a very active social scene in Jamaica, the norm was party venues. But I was never a party person, nor did I like to dance, so these options never interested me. Back then, as a young journalist, I would get party armbands, for all-inclusive fiestas, and give them away. This was to the delight of one of my coworker’s teens.
I have always wanted to go off the beaten path, where nature and man converge, to exist in a simplistic form. The challenge was, many of these journeys were in some remote places that needed a SUV, as well as knowing someone with knowledge of the route.
Naturally, I got lost countless times, but I met some great persons, who shared stories about their childhood, community and aspirations. Many of them and I are still friends, thanks to social media.
I love to observe life in its most genuine form, and the people who are in these districts are as authentic as they come. I take this same approach when travelling the world, which I have been fortunate to do.
