Mother’s tough love keeps sons away from gangs

Lisa is a focused woman and believes in hard work, which is evident by her stern demeanour. It is only when she realises that you are not trying to harm her or her sons, she will flash a smile here and there.

As the kareemsquest.com team was passing by Roselle and noticing the beautiful seashore, we saw Lisa’s attractive shop and had to stop.

As she captains the stall at the front, her sons are around the back breaking almonds to get the nuts. “I don’t want my sons to fall into badness, so during the summer and after school I keep them with me,” she told kareemsquest.com.

Her stall is decked out with a variety of items from coconut drops to sodas, however her number one selling item is coconut water.

“On this stretch you must have coconut. It is always in demand, and now I have to have cold jelly as well.”

With a waterfall a few feet from her, Lisa makes sure she has other items for sale including towels and water shoes.
