Islands Flats, Ocho Rios: Is the pizza any good?

Quick Facts

Who is it for: Friends of four or more, Family and foodies.

What it is NOT: A fancy dining restaurant, where formal wear is required.

Tip: Try to avoid days when there is a cruise ship, as the lines will be long. Also the meal is considered a ‘flat’ and not a pizza, because it doesn’t have yeast. In addition, the prices are relatively cheaper than the average pizzas.

What stands out: The brightly painted ply walls give the ambience a lively feel, plus it is upstairs, so diners get a lovely view of Island Village.

Must try food: I love the curry chicken pizza, but the group I went with unanimously chose the ackee pizza.

What is it similar to: A mom and pop pizza joint.

Location: Island Village, Ocho Rios, St. Ann

Vehicle needed to access property: Any sedan

Description: After interviewing Tambo, a donut vendor at Spanish Town bypass, months ago, I revisited him to find out how things have been going. While catching up, Tambo and his family were treated to pizzas from @islandflat in Ocho Rios, St. Ann.
