According to The Star, the complainant reported to the police that his prized ruminant had been stolen. Information gathered by the police led them to a property along Waltham Park Road, where the alleged thief was seen and questioned. The goat was found locked in a room and was seen eating leaves.
The man was arrested and charged with animal cruelty.
